Research Topics:

Miracidia are attracted by mucus components to their snail intermediate host. If we look at our previous research, then it is obvious, that miracidia are guided to their host identifying certain karbohydrate structures. I have to analyze these structures and define the attractive molecules more detailed, mainly for two different strains of Schistosoma mansoni.
