Research Topics:

I developed specific PCR primers on the bases of tandem repeated DNA sequences for the detection of trematodes in snail and plankton samples. At the moment these primer are used as tools to analyse samples, derived from semi-field studies on the transmission of miracidia of schistosomes and their antagonistic echinostomes.
In early studies I characterised components from snail conditioned water, that induce miracidial host-finding behaviour.
